Dear Owner,

City staff has been directed to enforce prompt correction of all code violations, as they erode property values, decrease the quality of life and deteriorate neighborhoods. This notice has been sent because a code violation was observed on the above referenced property. Code Enforcement is requesting prompt attention to the following violation(s) in order to bring the property into compliance with the City Code:
VIOLATION:
Section 22-6 LITIER AND SOLID WASTE: No person who owns or occupies any lot or parcel of land in the city may permit or allow litter, solid waste, inoperative or abandoned household appliances, furniture, or any other unsightly, objectionable, or unsanitary matter to accumulate on the lot or parcel of land, unless placed for collection by solid waste services or a private solid waste collection service at a location designated by the director of solid waste services.

NARRATIVE:
PLEASE PROPERLY DISPOSE OF ALL LITIER & SOLID WASTE AND OTHER DEBRIS THAT HAVE ACCUMULATED ON THE PROPERTY. FAILURE TO ABATE THESE VIOLATIONS MAY RESULT IN A CITATION AND A FINE.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN THE CITY ABATING THE VIOLATION AT THE PROPERTY OWNER’S
EXPENSE.

CORRECTIVE ACTION:

CLEAN-UP and/or REPAIR MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS OF RECEIPT THE OF THIS NOTICE. This is the only notice you will receive for a 12-month period. In accordance with section 22-7(d) of the Code, this Correction Notice serves as the one and only notice required by the Code for any future violation(s) of the same kind or nature. If any additional violation(s) occur(s) that pose a danger to the public health and safety prior to the expiration of this notice, the City, without further notice and at your expense, will take the appropriate action to correct the violation(s), and file a lien against your property for the cost of the corrective action taken.

If the violation is not corrected, charges may be filed in Municipal Court against the owner and occupant. Under Section 1-6 of the Code of Ordinances, if the violation continues to exist you may be subject to a maximum penalty up to $2,000, depending on the type of violation.
